What it's all about

Cassandra Jankovski

Queenstown, New Zealand

So this is my first ever blog post, I sort of decided to try this out to combine a few of my favourite things: travel, food and of course writing. I find myself owning dozens of different note books and almost all of them fill up slowly with travel plans and itineraries for vacations I may never get the change to actually take. From time to time, I have friends ask me to make a plan for their own holidays or to give them tips and ideas on where to go and when, so why not try and share that a little bit more. Travelling is more than just going away for me, it's meeting people and seeing the amazing diversity this planet has to offer. It is safe to say that exploring destinations and planning trips has slowly but surely become my primary hobby.

Being a university student makes travelling a little bit hard to fit in, so for the most part fitting all the places you want to go to in can be a challenge. Summers are the optimal time to make a dent in to that bucket list, so my plans usually fit a few trips in over that time. Having started travelling a few years back, the more people I meet and the more places I go just really makes me realize just how broad the world is and makes my love for people and culture continue to grow. Whenever I hear people say 'I wish I could travel as much as you do', I try and tell them to go do it, there is so much more to life than working and going to school and the world is out there waiting to be experienced so why not go?

People always complain about the cost of a trip or not having people to travel with, truth be told you don't need to spend a fortune to have an enriching experience. A resort in Cuba is not going to be what many see as a huge adventure whereas for someone else it could be just what they need. This blog will help you to get tips and answer questions about all steps of travel, from exploring what options are right for you to planning and preparing items you might have not thought to include in your suitcase, all the way to finding the perfect things to do during your stay. The thing about travel, is it doesn't need to be a totally extravagant or over-the-top event, making travel affordable can be done in so many ways.
